Natalie Kolbe is the Managing Partner of Norrsken22, where she oversees the overall management and strategic direction of the fund. Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Natalie brings extensive expertise in private equity and growth investing, making her a key driver of Norrsken22’s mission to fuel transformative businesses in emerging markets.

 

Before joining Norrsken22, Natalie spent 18 years at Actis, one of the leading private equity firms focused on emerging markets. During her tenure, she served as the Global Head of Private Equity, managing the firm’s global private equity business, which included eight funds spanning Africa, Latin America, India, China, and Southeast Asia, with approximately USD $2.5 billion in assets under management. She was also instrumental in integrating the Abraaj Africa, Middle East, and Southeast Asia private equity funds into Actis’s portfolio.

 

Natalie is a seasoned board member, having served on multiple company boards across Africa and Europe, and has played pivotal roles in restructuring efforts and successful exits. She has a deep commitment to governance and ESG standards, which she upheld at Actis and continues to champion at Norrsken22.

 

Natalie holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Witwatersrand, an MBA (Cum Laude) from Wits Business School, and is a CFA Charterholder. Her leadership is defined by a focus on sustainable growth, world-class governance, and impactful investment strategies.
